The Tri-Cities School of Preaching and Christian Development began in August 2001 under the oversight of the elders of the Stoney Creek church of Christ. The goal was to train workers for the kingdom. The school has trained men who desire to preach, as well as men and women who want to be better servants in the kingdom. The first classes took place at the Stoney Creek church of Christ, with a trailer on the side lot for offices and a library. In 2010, the education wing was built to expand the school to provide students with a better learning environment and a library to access at any time. The new facility includes H.W. Simons Studios. The studios include a radio studio and a video production studio. The school continues as a work of the Stoney Creek church of Christ under the oversight of her elders.
